FREE SAMPLER QUILT

We have a wonderful new class coming up for those who are learning or want to learn.

A FREE SAMPLER QUILT held on Mondays from 10am – 2pm over 20 weeks starting 26^th July going through to 6^th December.

The quilt contains 12 blocks plus a lovely appliqué border – you will make one block a week quilting as you go so by the end of the 20 weeks the quilt will be finished, perfect timing for as a Christmas Gift for someone or just for you.

We will provide all the quilting tools, patterns & knowledge needed to complete the quilt comfortable in the 20 weeks; you can even hire a sewing machine if needed.

What will you need? The passion to learn, your fabric requirements (a discount will be available for those who don’t have the stash) lunch & a small donation to cover photocopying, tea & coffee etc.

A night class will also be available on Tuesdays’ starting 5^th October – 5^th December then resuming in the New Year on Tuesday’s 18^th January – 22^nd March from 7pm – 10pm.

Catch up sessions will be made available to anyone who can’t make any of the sessions, spaces are limited to eight to ensure you get the most out of your time.

POINTSETTIAS WALL HANGING

This Wall Hanging is a work in progress, but is a vase of Poinsettias on a 1930’s styled house window sill with the window including its trimming in the background.

Pictures will be posted as this wall hanging progresses.

DASIES UNDER THE SUN

This quilt is a basic start to a compass; you will learn a few neat tricks to completing compasses.

KIWI SANTA

Make this cute Wall Hanging, a very New Zealand way to see Christmas.

Wall Hanging is a work in progress but basically Santa has just come in through the ranch slider of your typical kiwi beach batch to place presents under the tree.

Santa is a typical kiwi bloke in his shorts & gumboots, while parked up outside is his tractor towed but his trusty Sheep.

ORANGE TULIPS

Come along and make this lovely quilt using the pineapple block, framed with tulips.

I have done mine using only three colours – Black, White & Orange but could be done using any colours or make it a scrappy quilt using up your stash.

This quilt is a work in progress and will have a vine of orange tulips on the top left & bottom left corners reaching across & down the quilt to the middle.

QUICK PIECING TECHNIQUES - FREE CLASS

These classes have come about by popular demand and for the second half of the year will cover some quick & easy techniques you can use to make some of those blocks such as 4 Patches, Flying Geese & Strip Piecing etc.

Some notes will be made available, a donation would be appreciated to cover printing costs.

These classes are FREE and will take around 2 -3 hours.
